Within a couple of years, Arrogant Frog has made itself the mascot of our Estates. The humble winemaker shows that with creativity, know-how and a sense of humour, we can make Southern French wines shine around the world and give pure pleasure, at a reasonable price! Arrogant Frog represents our South of France “Art de Vivre”. Château Arrogant Frog is made out of 20 hectares (50 acres) in the Limoux grand cru. The Arrogant Frog cuvées are Château Arrogant Frog, Arrogant Frog reserve, as well as single varietal or blends.   Grape variety: : 100% Syrah Pays d’Oc – Indication d’Origine Protégée The Vine East – South exposure, protected from the north winds by a pine forest. Mediterranean climate with warm days and a cooling breeze from the sea 10 km away. Soil type : Gravel, clay and limestone. Harvest : Mechanical at night to protect from premature oxidation. Average yield : 48 hl/ha The Wine – Alcohol : 13% – Sugar : 3 g/l – Total Acidity : 3.5 g/l – pH: 3.40   Vinification Grape destemming, cooling of grapes down to 10°C. Pneumatic press, only the free-run juice is used. 2 weeks of fermentation on average at 17°C with selected yeast. Regular pumping-over during ageing process to maintain a maximum of freshness and colour expression. Tasting Notes Colour : Intense cherry pink colour. Nose : Complex with cherries and flowers aromas evolving toward soft candied fruit notes. Palate : Rich and well-balanced. Floral character with a long finish. Food pairing : Best served at 12° with light dishes, grilled meat, salads, sausages, white meat, Carbonara pasta, soft cheeses or simply before lunch or dinner!
