Description Proper dummy practice is critical to any training program. But when you compete, you don’t throw your loop from a standing position on the ground. The Something Horse (patent pending) gives you the perfect practice setup to work on body positioning and create muscle memory that will give you the greatest chance of success. Roping the calf dummy from your stirrups at the same height as your horse and delivering your loop at the same angle as you would in the arena creates better habits. Better habits translate to higher confidence and more victories. Actuator attaches to the swell or saddle horn. Simply nudge the actuator with your rein hand as you would push your hand and reins forward leaving the box. Actuator can also be detached for operation by a coach or bystander. The calf sled will exit the chute from beneath the neck of the horse. Vary the speed by adjusting the air compressor (not included). Vary the direction of the sled by adjusting the front wheel position. The Something Horse Complete Setup lets you: Practice heading, heeling, calf and breakaway roping from realistic saddle stance Practice calf and breakaway roping on a simulated moving calf or stationary calf placed at different positions relative to roper and horse Practice roping left and right duckers Practice roping shorter and taller calves & head duckers with height settings Practice delivery to your target from proper angle and position Practice roping over and around your horse’s head Practice left hand positioning – pushing, reining and cueing with reactive head Work on posture and leg positioning Cinch your saddle same as your horse. No need to remove girth or flank cinches Perfect saddle fit that doesn’t lean forward like on other dummy horses Adjust the height to match your horse from 13.3 hands to 15.2 hands (55-62 inches) with simple lock pins Safely mount, sit, stand and deliver with complete stability Easily assemble and disassemble with basic components for hauling or storage Easily reposition or move with caster wheels provided Roping Practice Horse Comparison Chart
